Small space seating solutions that work overtime!

We've been working hard on getting a concept together for our Small on Space, Big on Style project and one of the biggest challenges for this small space is the seating. Finding a solution that is as functional as it is pretty has its challenges.  We've compiled our top 7 small space seating solutions that work overtime in any space.

Kivik Chaise-Ikea

Generous seating series with a soft, deep seat and comfortable support for your back also doubles as a single bed.

Tillary Sofa-West Elm
Comfortable and loungy, the Tillary Sofa seems to float on a low-to-the-ground base. Weighted back cushions allow you to arrange the sofa multiple ways.  Remove the cushions to reveal an impromptu twin-sized guest bed.

Ubi Sleeper daybed-CB2   Stacked twin sleeper unfolds to an over sized queen bed.
How's that for double duty!

Ray Chaise-Van Gogh Designs

Modern chaise with a futuristic look. I really just chose this one for the looks and its open feel!

James Lounge-UP Country
Unique and versatile lounge has removable back cushions which allows it to transform into a single bed

Barcelona Couch-Design within Reach
What more can I say!

Mah Jong Modular Sofa-Roche Bobois
Based on flexibility of function and design and allows people to use it in whatever way meets their needs.

Less is More! A 350 sq.ft Bachelorette Pad-Before

Who: A 20 something rising professional
Location: Toronto, ON
Size: 350 Square feet
Lived in: 4 months

The small 350 sq.ft apartment is in the heart of the city with all the amenities, the only thing it's lacking is space. Over the next couple of weeks we'll be transforming this small and bland space into a modern, stylish and functional abode.

Our clients requirements include:

Creating and maintaining a open and inviting living space
Sleeping quarters with the ability to have over night guests
A functional office area
Organizing solutions for 2 very small closets
Entertaining is a priority.

The plan is to use a "less is more" approach and a neutral colour scheme with a POP! of color. We'll  mix modern and classic elements and bring some sexy to this bland space.
